James Grimsey (CMT)

James is a freelance voice coach specialising in musical theatre, he is attached to several colleges around the country providing voice training and musical direction. His professional teaching work currently includes Arts Educational Schools in Tring and Chiswick and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

A first class graduate from the University of Manchester James was awarded the degree of Master of Arts in 2003 (Performance) by the University of East Anglia.

His performance work has included new musical theatre writing, television drama (Sky One) and currently he is featured in a vocal performance replicating a car for the Honda commercial “Choir”.

James has musically directed Fame, The Goodbye Girl, Guys and Dolls, Seussical and most recently a production of We Will Rock You. In 2006 James opened an independent Theatre School based in Milton Keynes – Arts1 School of Performance. James is also the musical director of Potters Bar community choir.
