Markku Lorentz (CMT)

Markku graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) with a first-class BA Hons Music degree in July 2005. He majored in performance (voice) and song writing.

After his studies Markku stayed in the UK to act in musical theatre shows, such as Chess and Children of Eden, and to gig with his pop/rock band Escapist. He also co-wrote a musical The Switch, which toured the North-West England in 2005.

Markku started his own voice coaching company Pengu Studios in Liverpool in 2007. Since then he has given lessons to private clients of all ages and backgrounds, worked as a voice coach for professional theatre productions in the UK, and trained actors who have starred on shows such as Emmerdale and Midsomer Murders.

In January 2008 Markku moved Pengu Studios to Lund, Sweden. During the same year he joined a local theatre company Pipedream Proction. Since then Markku has worked as an actor, voice coach and musical director for Pipedream shows, such as Fiddler on the Roof, Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Sweeney Todd.
