Rachel Marie Parkes![]() Rachel is a professional singer, working in both the classical and rock/alternative genres, currently performing with the ensemble Con Spirito. She is a visiting singing teacher at many educational establishments in the south-west of England, and holds a BMus (Hons) from the School of Music at the University of Wales. Rachel has been a featured artist on internationally released recordings such as Singing The Mystery – Hildegard Revisited by Dr June Boyce-Tilman, has performed live on BBC radio, and across the world on the BBC website. She has also premiered major new compositions by composers such as Geraint Lewis, and performed a new arrangement of Yarmouth Fair written for her by the Royal Opera’s Julian Baker. Rachel has performed in concert across Europe, most recently in Austria where she premiered her husband’s composition Namarie, much praised by both Classic FM and the BBC.
