Caroline's journey on the CMT Pathway
Why did you start studying?“Being classically trained, I wanted to gain the knowledge and skills required to both use and teach the other five voice qualities. As it turned out, Estill greatly heightened my awareness and understanding of my attractor state as well.” What are you doing now?“I lecture in performing arts and teach singing privately.” Did you hit any problems?“Yes! I underestimated the amount of personal preparation needed for certification testing, which made the process much harder work than it should have been.” What’s your top tip?“Be careful not to practice too much between recording sessions on examination day. Vocal fatigue can creep in, inviting unwanted constriction and sending effort numbers through the roof!” ![]() Caroline lectures at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and at Stow College in Glasgow. She successfully completed the Pathway in October 2006 and became a Certified Master Teacher. © 2007-2010 Klaus Møller and Matthew Reeve | Terms | Contact |
