Martin's journey on the CMT Pathway
Why did you start studying?“I started studying Estill Voice Training in September 2005 having previously received a more ‘traditional’ voice training. I was looking for a technique that could improve my personal understanding of the voice as well as providing more flexibility for my own voice and that of my students. I was delighted to find a technique that almost immediately opened both personal and teaching possibilities.” What are you doing now?“I am currently the Artistic Director at the Glasgow Acting Academy and a lecturer at Motherwell College (Europes first Estill Educational Affiliate). I also have an ever increasing number of private singing clients.” Did you hit any problems?“I over prepared for the anatomy, but hey – knowledge is never a bad thing and I can still talk at length about some of the more obscure facial muscles!” What’s your top tip?“Relax and enjoy the vocal freedom you’ll gain.” ![]() Martin successfully completed the Pathway in October 2006 and became a Certified Master Teacher. He is currently Director of Glasgow Acting Academy and lectures at Motherwell College. © 2007-2010 Klaus Møller and Matthew Reeve | Terms | Contact |
