Specialist Workshops

We organise various specialist workshops, courses and events for the public. These can also be arranged for institutions as INSET or in-house style events. Workshops can cover various aspects of Estill Voice Training, including specialist workshops on belting, musical theatre singing, operatic singing, diction, anatomy and pedagogy. Specific tailored courses can be arranged for colleges and institutions to suit your needs and resources. Through collaboration with associates, courses can also be offered incorporating The Accent Method, techniques for training adolescent voices, accents and dialects, acting and drama, dance and musical theatre.

Voice, Body and Communication

Does your voice have impact? Can you use your voice to influence others and get your message across? Do you support your ideas with effective and congruent body language? Reeve & Møller will teach you how to use your voice in new ways. Through practical exercises you will experience the dynamic role the voice has in your working life. We will cover basic breathing techniques, vocal projection and presentation skills. This workshop is suitable for those who need to improve their communication and voice skills, and is tailored to your specific business needs.

Effective Communication

This workshop focuses on how the voice works and the different ways we can use the voice when we speak. We will discover how to optimise communication skills through effective voice use. By becoming aware of how you use your voice, you will gain the skills that make you an effective communicator. The workshop will give you practical exercises that will help improve the sound of your voice so you will be heard better and be able to talk without getting tired, and we will examine ways to sound more interesting. This workshop is suitable for those who want to advance their communication and voice skills, and is tailored to your specific business needs.

The Accent Method Day

The Accent Method was developed by the Danish professor Svend Smith (1907-1985) who taught and researched at The Danish Institute for Speech and Hearing. The Accent Method is a rational and methodical voice therapy that was developed to treat people with voice disorders. The Accent Method helps the student to coordinate breath, vocal function, articulation, body movement and language. This workshop will explore the different aspects of the Accent Method through breathing, voice and text exercises, as well as looking at the anatomy and science that supports the Method. The Accent Method today is widely used in voice and singing training and the workshop will look at how to integrate it as part of an effective technique and warm-up. This workshop is suitable for all voice users including singing teachers, voice and speech teachers and speech and language therapists.

Estill for Singing and Voice Teachers (Advanced)

This advanced workshop is an opportunity to explore how your teaching style can integrate with the Estill Voice Model. Explore how Figures for Voice™ and voice qualities can be included in your day to day teaching routine, and discover how other trusted voice and singing exercises can be explained in terms of the Estill Voice Model. Participants on the workshop will be observed teaching and will receive feedback. Limited observer places are also available.

Musical Theatre Master Class with Reeve & Møller

This two-day master class in musical theatre singing will be presented by Matthew Reeve and Klaus Møller. All participants will get the opportunity to sing in the master class and there will be additional presentations on the voice qualities and performance techniques found in musical theatre singing. Limited observer places are also available.
